What is Domain Parking?

There are two types of domain parking: monetized and non-monetized. To gain monetary gains from parked domains usually have different variations of advertisements. This is usually used by advertising companies and domain registrars to make a profit or to generate revenue. There are a couple other ways to used parked domains to generate monetary gain. A non-monetized parked domain usually has no content and usually states that the website is under construction or is coming soon. Parked domains are usually offered by many web hosting companies regardless of what the use will be. Most companies allow you to park domains in multiple quantities after the domain names have been purchased.

Below are a few tips to help pick out a parked domain company. 1. Try to avoid picking domain that has more than two words in them. The shorter the version the better use of keywords searched through a search engine. My advice would be to not purchase more than two word domains. 2. Research your domain name that you are thinking about buying. Make sure the search volume will prove to be generous. 3. Many times people that are searching for directly related content will type in manually their search and will not use a search engine. Keeping in mind this when thinking of a domain name, make sure it specifically has the keywords needed. 4. Domain parking can be renewed annually and there is usually no deadline check with the company you are thinking of using to see exactly what policy they have.
